well lads could anyone tell me why my fan isn't coming on? the fan it self works I tested it so the problem is in the wiring and switches or fuses to check?

How did you test it?

Unplug the fan switch off the rad & bridge the pins and it came on?

That would rule out fuses/wiring and point towards a broken switch

took the fan off and tipped the points of the battery

check the fuse and then if thats okay check power to the switch with a mulitmetre.

Assuming you don't have A/C? re-connect the fan, then remove the connector from the temp switch on the radiator and bridge between the supply RED wire (pin 2) and the RED/WHITE (pin 1) wire for the low speed or the RED/BLACK (pin 3) for the high speed.

If you have A/C then you will have a fan control unit (under the battery tray) this controls the high speed fan

If you try the shorting pin 2 to either pin 1 or 3 and if the fan runs OK then you need to replace the switch, if it does'nt run then you have a wiring/supply fault
