So... after somebody crashed into my Mk 2 coupe S, writing it off, I am left with 1000 fat ones! I'm looking for something old and cool, but struggling to find much which hasn't been to the moon and back. I've had golfs and polos, but fancy something different. I would love a Mk 1 Jetta, but might struggle with my price range. I like the idea of a saloon or estate. But the main thing is something which won't need much spending, so recent head rebuid, timing belt, service would be lovely! I dont necessary want anything fast, just nice!

I'm a bit out of touch with the best places to look, i wonder if anyone fancies a challenge and source me a cool new ride!

I've been on the lookout for a mk1 or mk2 jetta myself. The problem is nearly all the one's for sale are overpriced. There's currently a 1.3 mk1 on ebay for £3.5k!!!

It's only going to get worse. A quick look on ebay and PH and you'll see mk1 and mk2 golfs and jettas are being bought up by companies to sell at a later date.
