So the time has come to start fitting my audio into my polo,but i want it all hidden so what I'm fitting and how.

First what's going into it

4 pioneer 17cm 3way midrange , a xs audio 4x75watt rms 4 channel amp to run the mids , 2 x 12" vibe space subwoofers and running them I'm using a lanza opti 2000 pushing out 2x 750 watts rms @ 2ohms and running all of this is my pioneer headunit and i might fit my nacamchi line driver /eq depending how it all sounds and I'm also putting in a 1farad power cap and wiring it all with 4 gage wire.

I want to fit all this into the car but want all of it hidden except the subsbut even there going to be stealth.so where is it going to be hidden 4 channel is going into the rear panel drivers side and the powercaps going in there to the lanza amps going in the rear passenger side panel and the subs are going in the boot in a low shallow box I'm going for sq but still want some crazy bass. Keep watching as my install takes shape il keep updating.

Here's today's pics mounted the amp and wired it all up most of its done now for the 4 channel amp just need to mount the power cap but fitting the lanza amps will have to wait till i get the box build as i don't want the extra weight for no reason . More pics to come as i tidy it up and start on the box.

bin that power cap and run a second battery aswel as a volt meter, if your doing a low false floor the box might be too small for them subs as in cubic feet

i ran my last space subs in a 3.5cuft box tuned to 27hz so thats not going to be low find out what the recommended area is for a ported and a sealed box i wouldnt go smaller than 2.5cuft ported

I've got everything 0gauge split charge system a gel battery but i don't want all the extra weight in the polo I'm going to run the biggest battery possible up front. I just sold my old box as was to big for th polo i hit 160db @ 33Hz it was loud but now I'm going for a 1.5cuft or there about for each sub after lots of research these play very well in small sealed enclosures swell as large ones the idea is stealth and not to heavy.

My lanza amps to big to fit in the side panel so its going in the boot and the power cap going in there to help stops interference with my 4 channel ( I'm only using the cap as i have it laying around) I've also changed the rear speakers to some better 3 way pioneers now i can start putting the interior bk in here's somepics of it all wired up.

So amps in caps in And new rear speakers and that's my old box new one to be built keep watching

Here's the latest all in and hidden and back together sounds good now just need the subs in all the wiring ready for the Lanza just need to build the box .

160 what setup did you have? id be happy with 145 realisticly lol in my new build, oh right fair enough. just stick the one in then if you want a light setup would be better in a false floor around 2cuft, if its well made its normally heavier especialy when its sql or spl

I was running the same subs and amp just a second battery 0gauge and line drivers and my Kenwood headunit a big box can't remember the exact size there's a pic of the old box but all that extra weight was ok in a car with 160 bhp but the polos only 100 and nippy but i don't want to weigh it down plus its nice to have boot space I'm building a shallowbox but still using 2 subs and playing on making a fause floor to cover them i don't want everyone to be able to see them but still be nice and lould (",)

I'm not after a competitions beating system I've done that now after some nice quality bass and if you research these subs there ideal sealed box is very small these are exceptional sq subs swell as spl read up on them on talk audio there's a lot about them on there. Il get a db meter from work once there in and let you know what they produce will be happy with 130-145db we shall see!!!

only use a termlab its the only thing thats close to actall db id still go with one off a better amp at least 1k rms to come anywhere near 140db because the area is still small you will stuggle

but ill be waiting to see the results :) go on with it 1k on one sub in a 2.5cuft box tuned to 32hz after displacment will play very well, ill hapily help with the box build if you need it

all the builds I've seen with these are 4-4.5cuft

I think 750 rms @2oms each will be fine for sq if you have built a box for your polo id love to see it get some ideas. I didn't want the box to go above the boot latch so sitting in bottom of the boot there's still quite a bit of space and what do you recone if i port 1 and seal the other or go with a band pass box with only one in rember this is for sq not a db winner lol?

the wattage will be fine, mines going to be a big plain ported slot port ye will be starting soon but i wouldnt seal one and port the other

for the bandpass box that will be harder if you dont want it above the latch, you will struggle to get 2cuft to the latch i think that would work in a slot port box and just manage to be around the latch

I like the build i might only use 1 sub and go for a box like yours around 2cuft sealed box and see if i can get it to the latch hight.

Time to do some designing and box caculations

id do it ported I'm never going back to a sealed box, give me the boot width 35" hight 9" at my guess and depth 15" you want and ill calculate it for you

Il measure up the boot and get a diagram of what I'm after thanks I'm looking around 35Hz i do think porteds the way I'm going to go : )

Ok cool, what bass tones do your songs average at ? Mine are from 26hz to 35 and I tune to 28hz play them all well but the lower tones are much better, port area can change the performance alot to so songs that you mainly play I can make it peak at that frequency better

I would say around 32Hz should be ideal I'm still toying with the idea of putting both subs in I'm going to do some measuring and see how much boot I'm willing to lose for bass! Il get back with the measurements later today!
