Right i guess i should really make a start on this thread :)

My names Jono and a few weeks ago i bid on a 1994 Genesis coupe in white . I immidiately won it after no one else bidding haha , so then i began to worry at what i had bought , so after some arranging i got a lift with my brother in law down to Uckfield which is about 2 hours from mine , when i arrived i was pleasantly surprised at how clean it looked from the outside , disregarding a few bumps and scabs . however when i looked inside i could see that the dashboard was disconected from the bulkhead , which initially didn't worry me too much as i am a dab hand at all this mechanical malarky so i payed the bloke his money (£350) , collected the manual and signed the V5 .and leaving the car there to be recoverd a week later ( SORN) . so the Longest week of my life passed and with a little bit of hassle later i took delivery of my little polo . who i named minty , because it was the only obvious name to give a White Polo surely ...

Thats me in my new pride and joy :)

, so i slowly got to work cleaning and fettling with him , and as time passed i grew to love him . after a few days of fiddling i found the cause of why i couldnt seem to figure out why i couldnt get the dash to go back into position , the previous owner of Minty had abused him and with brute force had just ripped the dashboard off , breaking the fixings that fix through the bulkhead , so after a chat to a mate of mine , i had sorted out a new dashboard to go in and when it all arrived earlyer this week , i set to work today fitting everything in. :)

This was a Before shot with the dash out ( and a bit of fun setting the dials and steering wheel up , ''Race style''

And this was after roughly 2 hours work this morning fresh out of bed and hazy eyed .

So thats what i've done so far , I can only appologise for not taking many pictures of my process till now , with the cleaning and stuff but thats why i thought i'd type it and tell you about it instead :) . I'm really happy with how its turning out , and hopefully ( Money permitting ) i shall be lowering mr minty on the original steels to start with , basic but nice . and then when i've passed my test i shall be taxing and insuring and going out zooming ! :) .

I'm 22 by the way , and yeah i realise i write like I'm about five haha . I'm just a silly kinda person :)

Right , got a few new pics to put up here , Not alot of progress made for the moment because of lack of money , i will be getting it on the road soon tho so progress will start from there with any luck ! :)

so not much has happend tbh , but thought i'd update on the little things i have done :) .

Got my self a set of 175/70/13 Balloons for the rear :) to replace the two shit tyres that came on it

also got my self a set of g60 centres to tidy up the steels :)

its almost how i want it now . all i need now is sensible lows and i'll be there with the asthetics , got a few bits to sort out on the car still tho :)

looks very mint mate almost bought a white mk3 but love the red abit more but looking very nice when I buy the second I think white is the way to go :-D looking good though buddy

bit of an update on this since its been ages .

Front has been dropped 40mm and its now sitting on some Mk2 P-slots which need a refurb and will be on till autum when i'll get them done .

Tyres are massive as they came free with the wheels which was nice , perfect winter tyres 175/65/14 on the fronts and 195/60/14 on the rears .

I think the car is sitting nicely but a little high but perfect for the weather conditions at the moment and comuting to and from work is no hassle .
