Declaring mods with admiral

Featured Replies

I've got my insurance renewal coming up and I was just wondering if anyone here is with admiral and id like to know how they are with declaring modifications? is there a standard rate for certain modifications and also is it easy enough to call them up and get the mods sorted in a few minutes?

Also, is there a standard rate for certain mods or do the prices differ a lot depending on age and driving experience?

Doesnt seem to be any consistency as far as standard pricing goes, also usually try charge an admin charge too for changing things.

ring up and ask beforehand and see if you can afford it, I'm sure i asked once and they wanted like £35 a month extra for a cone filter haha

cheers for that, i gave them a ring just then and they dont seem too bad the woman on the phone said theres quite a lot of mods that are allowed!

Most of the mods they dont cover arent things i intend on doing tbh :)

Thought so! Got some decent quotes so hopefully I'll get my years no claims :)

I declared all of my mk2's mods (at the time it was correct, it's off the road now) - bumper change, alloys, lowering more than 50mm, exhaust, sunroof, interior mods and stickers all came to £22 a year more which I though was quite decent.

May I ask how old you were at that time?

your allowed up to 6 modificatons with admiral - and they onlt accept certain types of mods.

i was with them for 3 years and thats what they said - unfortunatly i had to move to adrian flux because admiral couldnt do some of them and i had in fact more than 6 mods on car.
