FYI 10mm each side is about the limit on the standard handbrake mechanism's cables, but it depends how worn your rear brakes are (more wear = more clearance).

I'm running 15 a side with brand new rear discs/pads. Old style hand brake mind so maybe that helps? Or is it the discs?

I'm running 10mm a side on mine with a disc set up, using mk4 golf calipers and had no issues

Yeah could be, this is on my late mk2. My early mk2 just has wheel spacers on it.

If someone can tell me the measurements, pcd of the holes etc then I may look at making some of these up. DKnight is doing them for a very good price though with bolts.

Think I'm good now, having seen wheels fitted on another mk3. Will test fit wheels on mine tonight and see
