Featured Replies

hey guys I've had my 9n for about 2 months now with lots of plans for it already, but everything I've got in mind would just look stupid sitting on standard ride height, but lowering it is proving ridiculous when it

comes to my insurance premium...

I've had my licence for about 6 months so no year's NCB "/ can anybody recommend an insurance company that will be a little bit more lenient on modifications?... at the mo for my 1.2 12v I'm paying 230 a month,

any reply is appreciated, thanks! :-)

Have a look at this thread: http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=217409

It gives you an idea of what people in a similar situation are paying, and who with, so should give a clue as to which companies are worth calling and which aren't.

Dickhead^

"dont declare it"

why even bother having insurance? fuck it, dont insure your car.

Then you can get a 6 point FPN like all the cool kids. Then if you're still in your probationary, you can get slam and L-plates on your car when your ban runs out.

For added stupidity, make sure the world knows your reg, who you're insured with, you name, what town you live in and what mods you haven't declared by posting it on the Internet.

Try admiral mate, they are pretty lenient with mods.

If everyone was honest on this forum then half the people have declared all the mods considering a sticker is classed as modification even painting the wheels is.

some one needs to make a sticker up for some of the dip shits on here, "Only thing lower than my car is my IQ"

first no insurance boy above openly admitting to not declaring his mods, then the nob head yesterday bragging about removing his springs for mega lowz (which I'm sure his insurance company is fully aware of  ) with pics of his car with his number plate clearly on show. Do these people not realise that insurance companies look through forums looking for cars they insure that haven't had mods declared?

Was that no insurance boy above aimed at me if so I have every single thing declared on my insurance including the 2 stickers in the back window. For any one that cares I still pay less than £50 a month for insurance as well.

Can't do it legally, don't do it.

And if you do do it illegally, don't brag about it on the internet.

Personally, my vehicle and my licence are my livelihood, so I take no chances.

Lmao I'm only messing man

Back on topic. If you struggle to much to get a decent quote, like I did, just wait till 1 years NCB then start modifying. The prices I was getting just weren't worth it

Nick I know . I'm not great at sarcasm on the Internet

I have noticed  you'll get used to it pretty quick

Most of the time is only performance enhancing mods that raise the premium a lot. Visual don't tend to I've been quoted well to lower a small amount.

Best thing to remember.. get quote.. PAY FOR IT.. now mod. Simple.

Loving this btw^^

Thanks for all the replies !

I think from what I've heard the best thing to do is just focus on small details/interior then when I've had my insurance for a year then I can think about wheels/coileys etc...

Bingo.
