I'd try and source a decent rubber booted suspension link rose joint of a suitable size from a production car as apposed to using a spherical bearing too.

What happened to production of them Yoof? I remember you advertising them on clubG40 a while back, did they ever get made in larger numbers?

The rose joints help stop pre loading the inner bushes when lowered or when running arb blocks

Depends which axis you're referring to about preload, as you can always just slacken and retighen the bushes so there's no wind up at your new height.

The rose joints are more compliant in certain ways, and less in others, so the arm will move easier, but you'll probably notice a bit of an increased amount of harshness into the cars ride quality

i think pete means the preload for where the arm will be forced forward when fitting arb blocks because of the offset on the block, i know the offset is there to correct caster angle when you lower but it still pulls the tca forward putting pressure on the inner bush, I've still got my g40 tca's but the outter ball joints are worn so I'm gonna try press new joints in hopfully.
