Lancaster Classic normally come out pretty well on older Polos.

To be fair, most of the best ones don't quote online, so you have to factor in how much a few hours of your time is worth.

very very few classic car insurers will quote online. they are specialists, and as such don't give out quotes willy nilly, as there are alot of factors to take into consideration.

bear in mind you usually have to be over 25, have access to another car, have a limited mileage policy (around 6k) and have it garaged. If you fulfill that you can normally get insured on quite modified classics for a bargainous price.

worth noting that you will not accrue no claims bonuses on classic car policies

Hi,

If you need a quotation please feel free to PM me your details and I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.

Regards,

Dan.

Adrian Flux do online quotes. I was 17 and classic insurance was only £1300 on my beetle, with breakdown cover and key safe. Which for that age was pretty damn good for a policy in your own name.

They quote online then you have to ring up anyways with you quote number and then still go through all the info again!

Edit just saw the above post, maybe theyve stopped now then?

It is almost impossible to have a 'one size fits all' online insurance tool for specialist car insurance.

You need to phone around.

Thanks

I went to Lancaster Classic to insure my GT on a classic policy.

Cost £220 for the year which is great and the customer service seems pretty decent too, the real test will be in a couple of weeks when I phone them up to declare mods.

Ditto here too. Came up on confused.com. Gave them a ring and £135 for the year! Whoop! AND I'm on a 7 year restricted (epilepsy) licence. 4 years NBC

As for mods, if I don't keep it std I'll ring them BEFORE I do anything. Lol.
