I like it, you have done alot of work on it too...i never had to cut mine like you did and tbh i prolly couldn't due to lack of knowledge and lack of time but you have done alot.

who made your custom door panel...have you fitted components to it? it looks nice and smart...good job

thanks bud . makes me feel a bit better. i made them, here's a pic before the trim and after

took me 2 daysto do. need to get some more foam on them before i sell them, as i'm totally stripping the car out.

what plans to have for your car, like when du hope to finish it and do everything to it?

Don't stress about it mate - can you imagine what people would think of mine if I posted pics of it?? In fact, when someone posted some pics of the engine bay the other day, I think it drew quite a few derisory comments - I don't think people realise that all the bolt on parts you can get now just weren't available a few years back - hence lots of DIY stuff (like my chequer plate heat guard on the manifold)...........

Times change and all that. Some people won't even call it 'Euro' anymore - but I don't think they realise that it does reflect exactly what was being done a few years ago - and it makes a change from what we have at the moment - everyone on tiny wheels..............

Don't like the tinted windows though - bit OTT for my liking. But considering the amount of time you've had the bloody thing and the work that's gone into it, I'm glad you've kept hold of it and done what you wanted to with it.

Bottom line - that's all that matters!!! :)

i made them using mdf and fibreglass. u make the ring using the template from the ring the speaker comes with to sit in..

then cut out pieces of mdf at different sizes to create the angle you want and screw them on with the wood glue.

once dried, start with the fibreglass until you get the shape and all the gaps covered.

after this has dried, unscrew the screws as it will be fully secured. sand down the fibreglass to get a smooth finish.

finally, trim it, and place in foam in between to bring it out.

these door cards and pods will be for sale sometime soon as i'm totally stripping the polo out

also, the tints are going to be removed completely
