Just thought I would introduce myself. I'm a first time polo owner. I found a bargin and snapped it up.

I got her as a second car for running around and tbh I have been pleasently supprised. If I had known they were as much fun I would have got one sooner. I have joined the forum searching for information on the car as there are so many parts available and I dont want to get wrong ones.

At the moment the plans are to just keep her running. Theres a few wee problems the offside front squeeks when pick up speed. Also theres rubbing sound from front. brake pads are ok plenty of meat discs not scored or marked I'm going to remove the calipers and have a look at the pistons see if they need cleaning. After that I'm going to start looking at ignition problemshe runs but usually takes 2 turns of the keyfirst turn the starter doesnt seem to engage. I'm hoping to get her through the mot (november) i could do with getting belt changedas i dont know when that was doneand she done 118000 miles. The list is endless but these are my goals now and ill revaluate when she had some tlcI never worked on cars before except servicing but have worked on motorbike engines snd basic principle is same lol.

Tbh I'm really looking foward to it all in a strange way lol
