Driving along yesterday and noticed my recirc valve (007p) noise has changed from a constant "ptshhhh" to a flutter?

Thought it might be because of the weather (hot air, fuel/air ratio etc.) but its still happening. Its got the standard GREEN spring in at the moment, was going to change it soon to a yellow as its currently running around max 1.6 bar boost

On slight boost you cant hear it flutter, but as soon as you put your foot down and hit a bit more boost, it goes mental. Sounds very cool, but would imagine its not doing my turbo any good!

Thinking it could be something to do with the N249 valve as i know a few people bypass it. Would anyone else say this is the case??

And if so, has anyone got a guide to bypassing it?

First thing would be the yellow spring as green is for standard boost I'm running max boost about 1.6 as well with yellow no fluttering also the N249 bypass is very simple just reroute the hose from the DV straight to the intake mani and take all the others out so you just have 1 going to the fpr and one to the dv can take a pic of mine if you need it

Here is a picture of mine after the bypass, as I said before remove the vacuum hoses from the sensors top left of pic, remove the black vacuum box they originally sit on bolt them down out the way keep them connected though or you will get error codes you could extend wires and hide them or replace with resistors but that's up to you, then remove the one coming from the secondary air system can just see this in the pic I just cut it just to the right of the dv, then route as in pic my be slightly different on the hose going to the fpr as I have my boost gauge teed off there. Any problems send a message

The fluttering noise is caused by the air travelling backwards through the turbo and effectively stalling the turbo. sounds awesome, but isn't too good as it will probably cause lag. I know it's caused in the standard DV by a torn diaphragm. I have no experience with an upgraded DV as of yet, but I'm assuming that it's the same as running the green spring, it isn't coping well with the extra boost so a stronger spring is needed.
