I owned a few polo over the years , the first one was a 1.2 55 9n then a 1.4 75 9n a now a 9n gt 130 :-D .The polo gt have a club polo sticker at the back so i registered here. Been a student money is always a problem when it comes to cars so in November i was looking for a cheap 9n 100pd tdi. well instead a found a gt tdi cat d for cheap,the damage was in the lower part of the wing and the car would start and drive well. In the past 9 month i was able to sort all the mechanical problem(90% were age and miles related problems also I'm very picky so part that were OK were replaced). finally I'm in the last and most fun stage of this car "restoration", this week the car is at the body shop, the whole passenger side of the car will be resprayed(damaged wing will be fix), also votex side skirt and rear votex valance will be fitted . Due to the club polo sticker on the car i believe that the past owner might be still be in this forum so it would be great if i can get more info on the car, the car came without any history,manual and paperwork so any info can help me in making this car look and feel brand new :-) and if you have past paper work and history, would be really amazing if i can get them(at a cost if needed).kn05hfj

It's nice you've gone through it and replaced things which may not have needed to be just out of being fussy - I'm the same so I get where you're coming from.

These seem really promising, a Fabia VRS but looking relatively stealthy in the tasteful Polo body.

Thanks, I have lots of plan for the car.next week I should get the car from the body shop then ill post a build thread.my goal is to take it to brand new condition and to install all the optional(mfd,cruise control etc).hopefully will be 100% ready by next summer as I plan to take a trip to south Italy.the polo gt 130 is really good, the top speed is nothing special but the torque is really something, you can have fan anywhere at any speed as long as you are in the right gear also the interior of the polo is a nice place to be .the thing a miss in this car is the Esp and climatronic.i might be able to find someone to do the climatronic but the Esp is hard to retrofit. Being fussy:D all the work is gonna take a while . Thanks for the reply:D
