Hi All!!!

I have managed to grab myself a really nice R Reg 6n polo with 48k on the clock (£500, STEAL!) Has what seems to be the usual in regards to rusting round the wheel arches and sills (had to get one re-welded to get it through its MOT) but apart from that is a totally sound runner. First thing I suppose is to get it on the ramps to see if there is any major rusting underneath and if not time to play. Want to really tidy it up, lower it ect. The question is where the heck do I start.... This is my first car and first project so just any help or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated. Think my starting point will be this Sunday at Tatton Park but not sure what to look out for.

welcome to the forum mate...1st thing i did when i got my 1st car is have a look through the build threads and i got alot of inspiration and ideas from them, my little brother got a 6n too and he just started to do little things 1st (de badged it de wipered polished/waxed) looks a nice and clean base though

Yeah first things I did were de-badge etc. depends on your budget and what you want, my old 6n I went outside in with mods but the seats were uncomfortable so this time round with my 6n2 i did the interior before starting on the outside.

Do what you want to do to your car... Don't do things to impress others. You will almost certainly get alot of hate throughout if you do thing your own way and take the hate as constructive criticism, don't take it to heart!
