basically, I'm trying to work out if itl fit over a pit at work, which is for a train, the rails iirc are 4ft 8&1/2 inches wide lol

longshot but yeah!! will be a major help to sort my exhaust out!

I wouldn't have thought so mate. 4 foot 8 inches is the width of a whole original mini. I don't think a polo is much wider to be honest

i do have wider wheels than standard ect however, so it may be close!! haha

Okay mines a mk2f but should be the same as its the same body. The car is 5 foot 9 inches including mirrors according to haynes

4ft 8.5 inches is 1435mm

A mk1 golf track width is only 1405

So a polo will be less than that

Mine is now 1700mm from rim lip to lip so even I would have trouble

And mines loads wider than standard like 4 inches each side at least

Basically measured front and back of mine in the dark so probably wrong, measured from inside of one edge and outside of other, so centres.

Measured from and back,

Average is around 1030mm

So like 3ft 4.5" or something

No my polo you clown! My train pit was filled in

Seen a mini wih a Vtec in the boot earlier, was probably wider than it was long, an it had a rally company sticker in the window so going by that research iv conducted I'd imagine your polo will be totes amaze balls pete
