|| Blue Polo 6n2 1.4 ||

Where do I begin with this? Hmmm - Right, I went online ‘shopping’ for a Polo 6n2 specifically. It had to be the 6n2 purely for the shape, I don’t like the 6n or any other shaped Polo and I wanted one because, in my opinion, they are the best looking VW’s out there! I didn’t care if it was a GTi or a 1 Litre, I just wanted a 6n2...So I ended up with this…I’ll let you guys be the judge of it but let me explain…

Cut a long story short…

I got a Silver 6n2 GTi back in 2012 and swapped it for this, when this car was in very good condition, with a member on here. The reason I swapped it was because the insurance for me on the GTi was an absolute joke! (£3000) So I had to downgrade to something I could actually afford. So I swapped the car, yes it was a straight swap of paperwork, no extra cash, nothing.

So eventually I had a car and was driving around in it for a while before I got bored and decided to rip it apart and kill it. Do I regret doing that? No, not at all. I’ve always wanted to do a project on a car. This is the perfect opportunity for me to do it.

Anyway, I got to work on it removing the interior along with the bumpers. The bumpers are currently sitting at a mate’s house waiting to be sent in to get smoothed and sprayed, I’m just waiting for money to do this (If anyone knows a good place in surrey PM me!) I’m in the process of putting the interior back together as you can see in the picture below.

I’ve got 4 brand new Nankang NS2’s waiting to be put on new alloys! I need to start looking for a decent set, again if anyone is selling, or knows anyone selling some for a reasonable price please let me know by dropping me a PM, or if anyone knows someone who does wheel refurbishments please do the same, I would greatly appreciate any help!! I’m currently in the process of buying a full GTi front end and spoiler; hopefully they will be here sometime next week along with a new centre console and other little bits for the interior.

My plan at the moment is just to get the bumpers back on the car, put the interior back in and get the GTi front end on! Will update each stage accordingly

Spec List:

• 114,000 Miles

• Currently sat on TA Technix coilovers

• Front wishbones fully polybushed

• Debadged and de-wipered at rear

• LED rear number plate lights

• BBS RX2’s (Genuine GTi Alloys)

• Debadged grill

Updates to follow as regularly as possible!

Any feedback/ideas would be greatly appreciated, good or bad. :-)

I've done a restoration on my motor matey.

Have a read of mine and you'll get a few ideas, especially for the wheels. RX2's come up so fresh after a refurb

*edit* are the the 16in RX2's? as the tyres look a little big IMO.

if they are 16in, the tyres should be no bigger than 195/45, otherwise it will rub, especially so if lowered!

They are 15in pal.

Yeah I'll have a read through yours...I have no idea where to start if I'm honest! Cheers for the advise though :)
