Hi guys going to look at a 6N2 GTI tonight which I've seen on ebay, just wondering what sort of questions to ask, and what issues the car usually have

BAD POINTS

CRACK IN WINDSCREEN, BUT CAN BE FIXED ON ANYONES EXCESS FOR £50, PASSENGER HEADLIGHT WASHER JET COVER MISSING, WEAR TO DRIVERS BOLSTER COMMON.

Few age related scuffs here and there on the bumpers but very minor and passenger rear quarter has a slight dent can be seen in pictures. please bear in mind this is a 13 year old car now, if your looking for a brand new car i suggest you look elsewhere. in my eyes in good condition for its age.

slight knock over big bumps from passenger top mount due to lowered suspension, but car is used Daily to work and back and has never let me down

No service history but Genuine 93,000 MILES, which is VOSA VERIFIED

No service history is generally a no go

Gearbox has it been reconed or a new one fitted

That one does no sound ideal, no history, crack in screen etc. for that money you could get a well tidy one.

Issues to be weary off are gearboxes and peddle boxes, rust, electrics and has the timing belt been changed along with water pump.

Some nice ones for less on here for sale.
