Just bought a 1.0 mk3

Featured Replies

Hello all

First VW and its a tatty 1.0 polo mk3

Paint laquer is peeling all over

Dings in 4-5 areas

Clutch seems VERY low to the floor but other than those bits it's not that bad.

First things to do are sort out dents and sand out surface rust and treat/cover

Clutch ? Is it goosed if so ill order a new one or is it just adjusted wrong ?

Once niggles are fixed what can I do to bling this a bit ;D

I have just bought a compressor too 9.5cfm so I may have a blast at spraying too :D

I quite like it though I'm used to bigger cars. I wanted something as a work commuter little rascal and polo fits the bill.

Any tips guys ... And gals

easiest way to tell if you have a buggered clutch accelerate in 2nd, if the revs build faster then the speed chances are its shagged

get yourself a build thread started with your plans and a few pics of the car, also any questions or queries please look through the forum search, if you cant find what your looking for ask, and we shall be more than happy to help with your questions.

on a final note welcome to the club, madhouse as it may well be, we are all friendly (I think)

cheers mate

Ill have to get on it

clutch wise I'm hoping its ok or just needs adjusting but if it is shagged any recommend types or shall i just europart one ?

Other than being tatty outside due to neglect (or poor driving) it seems an ok car and the dings and paint can be sorted.

Euro car parts bud as good as any
