I bought my 9n polo off a trader about 2 weeks ago & he said he'd send the log book off that day I bought it after I filled out my details.

The tax runs out on the 31st of this month but I haven't received the new log book with my details or a tax reminder form.

How long does it normally take the DVLA to process the new log book & send it back?

Also can I still tax my car if I haven't received the updated log book?

Can take up to 6 weeks I think but in my experience it tends to be 3-4. You should have been given the new keepers slip from the log book which you can use to tax it at the post office
