Anyone know the best method to clean headlights? To a complete shine!?

3M buffer/mop (whatever you call it )

Toothpaste works well but not perfect. The above method have me best results

I was going to say soak them in a bucket of water, then blast the insides out with a hose. But yours are plastic. Glass ones don't go cloudy or need polishing at all.

Cheers for the replies lads. Going to do them this weekend with toothpaste! Tried taking them apart last night but they are a bit of a bitch to take apart!

What i did;

Sand with 400 then then 800, 1000, then 2500 (or until your bored)

Polish with car polish, which was working for me but was taking too long, may work with a drill attachment.

So i went to buy this at the local car place as it was recommended, tried it and it worked flawlessly.

You dont need to sand the lights down, but if you do you will get a deep scratch free surface.

Used it on my girlfriends clio lights and it worked great too.
