Wiring speaker in 6N2

Featured Replies

Basically I went to wire my speaker through the loom on the door! ... But then realised it was a plug!!

Anyone wired speakers in their 6N2? - I do not want to have to use the factory cabling!! If I could I want to remove ALL the factory sh*te and do my own wiring through the car..

If anyone has done this please let me know how its done

Not for speakers but for add on central locking, I put wires through the plug and socket on the door pillar. I drilled the holes bigger on a couple of the spare positions and threaded the wires through. I left enough slack inside the pillar to disconnect the plug and socket and put bullet connectors on my wires so I can disconnect them if I ever need to. If you disconnect the plug and straighten the rubber sheath the extra wires will thread through into the door.

Nice...Will give it a go and let you know how I do it.

Cheers for the reply.

I did this only 6n I drilled through the a pilar and into the door at the same level. I then used a plastic gromet the holds the flexi conduit in place and tan the cables throught that. You can get these at napkins, but may be cheaper online. You could use rubber grommets and cut them to fit snug overthe plastic tubing. Or even run the wires without, but it kooks way smarter and is more protected.

I then used the factory speaker wires for puddle lights. I only ran new wires becaise I wad using an active crossover and three way components so needed 6 wires instead of two. :)
