I'll start by telling you about my car history. I passed my test at 19, waited two years till I could be bothered to learn, passed in 3 months. I will forever regret waiting as my insurance is still rocket high compared to my friends even after 2 years.

My first car was a 1.1 106 Independence, £2400 for insurance! Was gutted as I was after a Polo but the insurance was £4k for a 1.0!

I started modifying the 106 when the CV joint went, googled it and 106owners came up and saw that you could modify them without making them look chavy. I got to work and did a few bits and bobs and fell in love with 106s, this is how she ended up. I sold her after 10 months of driving.

I then bought a Quiksilver as I wanted more power but insurance was still high. Kept some parts off the 1.1, suspension, wheels, shit like that and stuck it in the Quiky. I then saw my present car on eBay, instantly loved it, checked out insurance and it wasn't much more, so I snapped her up and finally have my hands on a VW and wont let go. The Quiky ended up.

Anyway! On to the Polo!

After some research, which ended in me googling my number plate and finding a picture on google images, which lead me to a build thread on here, I found at the Polo belonged to Ashi and he built it up from rust and stock to how she is now.

This is the first time I've bought a car which has already been modified, which I don't know if I feel bad or good for it haha! I do have plans of my own though so its not all bad news.

Looks very nice just not keen on the sidemarkers.

Nice polo, pug looked nice in the last pic too. Are the sidemarkers stick on or wired? (not judging)

Yeah I have my moments when I'm jubious about keeping the sidelights but they're pukka at night aha. They're all wired up man!

in my own defence and alratcliffeffl defence the side markers was a quick/temporary fix for a show 1 week after id just painted the car until i got around to fitting jetta/bora flush styled ones.

i soon sold the polo after this has i already had a daily driver for work purpose etc and knew it would just be a shame to let her sit rotting and not being driven.

i love this polo so much and if the circumstances would of been different i would never have sold it and i would buy it back if some spare cash came up!

Keep her Safe and ill be keeping a close eye on my old girl!

I just bought myself some clear flush ones, didn't realise they were clear until I bought em aha. Not sure if I'm going fit them or just smooth them out completely!
