Eddies White 6N 8V

Featured Replies

So i have been on here for around a year-ish now and thought i might as well start my build thread up as i am actually being able to make some progress on it now, so here goes :-) .

Model:

1.0L

Engine:

1.0l 999CC 50BHP

Suspension:

TA Technix dropped all the way down, bump stops and helpers are current still in.

Brakes:

Standard

Wheels and Tyres:

Currently sat on some Speedlines 6J R14 with some budgets on at the moment as money is tight.

History:

I got the car in March of last year with 55K on the clock, it was originally owned from new by my great grandad who then passed it on to my auntie and then it came into my possession, the car for the previous year before my ownership was just sat on a driveway the whole year under a tree so as you can imagine it was a state when i got it  .

Having look through my big book of receipts and mot/service documents the car has never failed on anything major or had any major fault in general, always stupid things like wiper blades etc, which was obviously a very good sign of things to come (hopefully). This didn't last long however as i started to notice to car was losing oil from somewhere very, very slowly, a few weeks later while driving through Nottingham city center the car decided to start having fits when trying to accelerate and loosing power etc, very risky when on a busy roundabout. got home to find it was my distributor leaking oil which also explained the issue with power as it was filling the cap up with oil.

So took it all apart and cleaned it, re sealed the distributor up and its been fine ever since, no other problems what so ever since then! :-D .

Anyway this is how the car looked when got it (after a tcut down of course  )

After this it was nearly a year before any progress was made on the car as my insurance was being a bitch and no allowing mods what so ever (LVE for you).

So finally February came and progress started to be made after switching insurers.

First thing was the TA's and letting them settle also the MK5 red rears and de-badging the rear.

After this i bought some cheap valver alloys as the steelies were knackered, also decided to remove the bump strips and give the car a thorough clean whilst changing them over.

De-wipered the rear

I then bought a full set of 16V seats for 50, needed a bit of cleaning but came up nicely :-)

Then i picked up a set of Powerlooks and badgeless grill off of Mattnaz and switched back to the original amber indicators and side repeaters, also my friend gave me a spare mk2 Ibiza cupra splitter he had spare to modify onto the car.

So after a lot of head scratching modifying the splitter to fit i ended up with this.

I miss it looking like this so much :-(

A few weeks later some asshole decided to smash the lights up when throwing shit out of his car!!

So i had to revert back to the original headlights and decided to put the crystal indicators and repeaters back on, so now the car for the time being is sitting like this.

Future plans include:

Maybe 16v bumpers not too sure yet.

Pressed Plates

Get my sub and amp wired in

New alloys & stretched tyres

Camber and spaces

Electric window's

16V dash, door cards, carpet, linings and pillars

New exhaust as mine is getting towards the end of its life I think.

Definitely looked better before with the other headlights. You can pick them up for next to nothing on Ebay nowadays. I would put the amber indis back in as well, (unless their smashed). Keep it up mate looking sweet

Yeah i preferred it so much more with the Powerlooks, going on holiday in a few weeks so everything is on hold until after then, will certainly get another set as soon as possible though.

Nah the amber indi's are still intact and will be going back on with the Powerlooks.

I like the wheels, looks nice!
