Hi Craig I am also finkin about fitting remote lockin on my 2004 TDi polo there are quite a few on flea bay from 24 quid (can be used to operate on 4-5 doors) but I am unsure which to go for will let you know which I opt for

Did the 9n3 really not come with remote locking? Would have thought it would have been standard equipment tbh lol

Presuming your central locking is electric, it's a dodal to fit, just wire you exsisting motors in the new receiver and job done.

I bought a kit recently of eBay for 19quid, with four motors and all the wiring ect.

Spend half a day fitting it to my jetta, worked for the first five or so times then gave up the ghost, the remote doesn't operate the motors nor does operating the drivers door pin. Bag of wank ahaha

I cant believe its not fitted as standard!! I dont suppose it would be as simple as getting a key fob and coding it to my vehicle? the car wouldnt have the remote locking kit already installed in the factory i suppose?

I just fitted an rclick kit. Was easy once I found the wires. http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=50&products_id=1112

Quick guide:

Remove drivers door card

Find Red/Yellow wire to electric window motor - this is your positive feed.

Find blue/white wire going to lock - this is your central locking wire.

You will need to get a 180ohm resistor (Maplin - 32p). Get some terminal blocks whilst there - save the pain of soldering.

My 06 Polo Club doesn't have electric windows - any suggestions as to what to use instead as a positive feed in?!
