6n2 hub nut size/front axle removal guide

Featured Replies

What size are the hub nuts? I've got a 30mm and a 34mm socket, hope it's one of those.

Can someone give me a brief summary of how to get the front axle out?(I may need to get it out of the way to get the sump out)

When I'm putting everything back what are the torque settings for the hub/wheel nuts? Will I have to toque anything else?

Thanks.

They are 30mm :)

30mm multispline to be precise.

To remove the driveshaft after that just undo the hub from either the 2 bolts (18mm) holding it to the shock, or the 3 smaller bolts (13mm) holding the bottom ball joint to the wishbone.

You should then be able to pull the hub far enough away to let the shaft fall out at the hub end.

Then you have 6 driveshaft bolts to undo and the gearbox end. They require an M8 male multispline tool.

As for doing everything back up, I've always just done them up FT.
