Featured Replies

I have just put my car up and had very little interest. Am i missing a trick,

Got the info up and a few pics but nothing, i would not mind but its cheap as 6n's are not old skool yet but to old for younger drivers. I need it gone as new car comes saturday. Ebay or just break it for parts

Its only been for sale on here four days... takes longer than that to sell a car. Took me about 2 months to sell a perfectly nice none rusty 16v with low mileage at a low price!

You say about it'd be good for young drivers... no it woudnt  Its a 1.4 for a start and its modified a big no no for drivers of 17/18 with the price of insurance nowadays.

Just going to have to be patient or break it.

Patience is a virtue (what ever that means).

The price is about right I'd say, but when selling a not very sought after motor at about the right price you have to be prepared to wait for the right person to come along. If you want a quick sale then below the right sort of price is where you generally need to be, the lower the price the more chance of a quick sale

Good points, I am 34 so young is any one under 26. I know it will not be a good car

for a 17/18 year old. It just seems cars are hanging about for longer.

I am being impatient as I pick up my fabia on saturday

FABIA LOVE! Got a VRS SE myself.

But yeah 6n's are hard to sell, never used to be but there just not a desireable polo anymore (if they ever were) i love my 6n and i know a few that do but most people either go for a mk2f or a 6n2 nowadays. You can get a nice mk2f for £700ish and a nice 6n2 for around £1100 so 6n's can be hard to flog anyway.

In my humble opinion modified cars can take longer to sell and don't always mean that you will get your money back. Yours is an open air which will be more niche than a stock 6n. Thought about putting back to standard.

Yeah matt, had one years ago and wanted another. Elijah you are

right they do take longer but when i want a certain car i go to

a forum like this first. Not putting it back to stock as i dont have the time or money

tbh, thats the sort of thing I'm looking for... if it was standard lol :) really though if this had been for sale in a few weeks I might have made an offer.

One of the more sensibly priced cars out there though

It may well be, I will take an offer but not a stupid one. It can live on the drive till it goes

Try putting it on gumtree so you can get a much bigger audience, and maybe put a price for stock and modified.

  • 2 weeks later...

Try eBay ?
