bristol newbie!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, joined up a few weeks ago to get some advice (and have a bit of a nosey) so I thought it was about time I introduced myself! I'm new to VW, after owning a ford for the last 4 years. I decided to take the plunge and went for a 2011 polo gti, and I am/was genuinely loving it - apart from the fact that its just gone back to the dealer for some 'oil based investigation'... :-( - anyone heard of this before? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Nice to meet you all in advance :-)

Welcome along

As in you found a oil leak?

They did work on it and found a leak?

A recall on the vehicle?

Well, not so much a leak, as in it used all the oil it had in 350 miles.. so it went back and they're 'investigating' it. I've seen a few posts on other forums about the same kinda problem and they all end up with a new engine! So I'm starting to panic a bit now.. and just wondered if anyone had experienced it. Sorry if it seems a bit vague - I can be a bit blonde sometimes!
