IBS SUFFERERS

Featured Replies

Its hypocritical because you are trying to tell people what they should be eating as part of a balanced diet while not eating a balanced diet yourself.

So because science says too much red meat is bad for you you should cut it out all together? You can find scientific evidence to say that pretty much anything is bad for you, should we just stop eating altogether? Balanced diet, BALANCED, see what I'm saying? You can't get all the shit you need to be healthy from just veg, just like you can't get it from just meat

Are these body of people that advocate vegetarianism also vegetarian themselves? Because I'm sure I can find plenty of body's of people that advocate meat eating as healthy, doesn't make it any thing more than a biased option of a bunch of people tho does it?

Gunna sound a dick here but the main reason people eat meat in a balanced diet is for the protein gains. However meat isn't essential to get protein you can get protein from animal based products so most diarys cheese especially contains a lot of protein so say a veggy was to have a cheese salad or sandwich against a meat eater having a ham salad or sandwich the protein amount would be similar however more cheese would be needed then ham to get the same amount. A lot of meat replacement like quorn and the likes of conatain protein powders. So also come up similar to the results of normal meats. What I'm getting at is meat isn't essential to a balanced diet. It's not about how much of this food group you eat vs the other food groups it's about the carbs Protiens and all the other stuff that comes with it

Vitamin B12 can only be found in large enough amounts from animal sources, and a lack of that can seriously fuck you up

Plants feel pain too and are cultivated with the sole purpose of being killed to fed to you. When you look at it that way its just as unethical to eat a salad as it is to eat a mixed grill

I like McDonald's,

You can't beat some bacon I wasn't saying that I don't like meat but the only reason people eat meat is because we love it so much. I mean u beat a bacon sandwich in the morning.

I also like McDonald's but doesn't tend to be good with ibs sufferes

What I can't believe is that you've actually made a thread about IBS.. I dunno, but if I couldn't do a shite I wouldn't think, oh yeah, something for clubpolo.. Something I wouldn't shout about really.. Maybe that's just me 😁😂

Help and advice from Others in the same situation maybe good though Morgen; this is a big community with a variety of people

Ibs isn't not being able to take a dump its about not be able to stop dumping lol

I thought it was both? Dunno tho

A guy i used to work with had IBS and he didnt shut up about it. every 5 minutes he was like "ooh my guts are playing up again. this IBS is killing me" and then he'd come back from the shitter and tell us every little detail about it.

i highly disliked that guy. wish i'd kicked him in the nuts a few times tbh... so dont turn into one of those guys that always talk about your shit... aint nobody got time for that.

As previously said, its about diet and trial and error with your diet. it'll be a stressful and painful trail, but worth it in the end and you wont suffer as much.

Don't really talk on here much but seeing this topic I'd thought i'd post, I've got Ulcerative Colitis which is the one after IBS and before Krones

so i know exactly how you feel. Mines under control now with Tablets which smell like weed haha! but Have the doctors confirmed it's defiantly

IBS or nothing else?

Certain foods can defiantly alter everything so cut things out to see whether it gets better or not. I was in hospital and

everything with mine playing up and after talking to all the people there, i worked out that food doesnt cause a flare up, Stress does. So just

try not to worry about anything and your mrs should be sticking by you if she actually loves you!

I've had stomach issues as long as I can remember. I went to the hospital to see a "specialist", who prescribed me stuff like lactulose and laxitive over the years for the IBS the doctor diagnosed. No good was coming from this so the dose got progressively higher. When I was 14 I went to one of these "unreliable allergy tests" at holland and barrett and found I was intolerant to wheat amongst other things. Started an avoidance diet and had no problems until 8 years later (three months ago) when I had violent d and v one night when out drinking. Avoiding lactose and fizzy drinks just now seems to be doing the trick.

Moral of the story: IBS is a nice person, but finding the antagonists can reduce the effects.

I've got to argue with that. Club Polo has got me through many long hard shits. I fact, some of my most helpful posts wouldn't have happened if I had more fibre in my diet.

Keep up the good work Mikey
