has any body done this in a polo? I've got a polo gt and was thinking about going into some sort of motoring event other than just track days

Other half does hill climb and sprints in his G40. There's quite an exact set of requirements for the different classes especially regarding seats, harnesses and rollcage so be prepared to spend a grand or two before you've even started.

We go to Shelsey Walsh and Mira (sprint). He did well on the hill climb but has a subframe and still isn't happy with the handling.

Shelsey Walsh is a great day out regardless, real mix of people and cars so would recommend checking it out in advance.

Hillclimbs and sprints are a great day out.

I don't know too much about how to compete but they do offer standard road going classes. so you can just use your standard car. :)
