So here is my first car - 1994 Mk3/Mk2F Polo Genesis 1L (107k miles)
Good service history
Surface rust (looks alot worse than it is)
Solid body
Has had cambelt and water pump replaced
Battery tray and fuel tank are fine
A few small things that i can cosmetically fix.
I LOVE driving this, i would have this anyday to a 2l luxury mondeo ghia and so on, the non-power steering is fun and the 4 speed box turns a few heads.
So what should i do with this beauty?

Fitted a stereo and 12 disc changer that had lying around, after alot of work to the wiring that a previous owner had attempted.

These will be fitted tomorrow after i angle grind some bolts off to remove the bumper, and just aquired a set of fog lights that i can fit into the bumper.

To Do list:
-Fit RING rally giant spot lights
-Fit Front fog lights
-Make a wiring loom for both sets of lights
-Fit exhaust tip
-Finish and take pictures of painted airfilter cover
-Clean inside and wash seats
-Clean exterior and polish with restore compound
-Aftermarket steering wheel (maybe momo)
-Replace gearstick gator
-Buy and fit a new aerial and all new speakers/sub
-Remove and dye all plastic exterior trim and bumpers
-Fix rattling boot (any help/pointers would be appreciated)
-Source a passenger side rear arch spat (if somebody had one they are willing to sell and post that would be more than appreciated)

Possible To Do:
-Full respray (needs it)
-Lower
-Clean engine bay
-Replace head liner with something else (similar to genesis seat designs)
-Buy some BBS wheels

Need ideas on what to do with my polo.

Decided to give the air filter cover a quick clean and spray (the bumps were actual metal left, not rust or paint)

Started wiring the spots and fogs

Testing 2 of the old amps i had lying around

Roughly installed and wired (anybody notice my choice of cable yet?)

Again using audio equipment that was just around and had no use, speakers yet to be installed into mdf until i get a nice set of Kenwood speakers.

tip there a white plug in passager scuttle hole it become live on first click on fog light switch (pre wired from factory) saves the wiring of switches not to mention time

Cheers, the spot's take a feed from the headlight full-beam to a relay so i can use them on road and pass an mot with it, the fog light switch draws power from the stereo ignition live because it only needs a small current supply to run the relay and it was the most convient as the switch's are mounted bellow the stereo on the blanking plates.

Air horns and new aerial fitted, plus upgraded the dash speakers (pics to come)

Got all the inside cleaned up, think the suspension needs some work (5 people meant it scrapped every speed bump)
Finally got this Mountney wheel and the boss in the mail today.

So, another update...
Decided that not having a bootlight was a pain in the a$$ and in general some more interior lighting would not go a miss, £2 later i have this, and more to do yet.

Not bad for £2, just required patience, soldering and creativity

Sorry for the moment i'm keeping it, as this current steering boss's contacts for the horn are unreliable, so might need it for the mot and when i sell the car i might decide to keep the wheel, if i do not need it at some point i may decide to sell it as its in good nick

Quick update, will do a further soon and maybe some wiring guides when i overhaul alot of the wiring and stop spending money on ICE.
Alot of work later the boot install has practically been finished: (sorry for bad picks, new phone screen gave up)

When it's all finished i may get a small video up of the roof and windows flexing.
