as the title says. i would prefer an engine with head attached so i don't need to buy a new head gasket etc but i'm pretty desperate.

One of my cylinder walls is worn to death so so i'm planning to just get a new engine. everything works fine on mine so the bare minimum I would be looking at would be a block with pistons and rods etc to save having it honed. The cheapest solution is what i'm after.

I live in suffolk near ipswich but will pay for postage if you can shove it on a pallet... obviously if i can drive to collect it that would be better.

1.3 Spi lump at Nottingham. can get it on a pallet for courier,

ran fine with good oil pressure. i'd need to get it out the car

and stripped down though.

£45? It's been stood a while and the carb's dead, but it was cambelted not long before it came out.

Fuel wise, 80 miles each way (my mate's near March, so your side) = 160 miles / 35mpg (dying 1.6 Skoda) = 4.5gall (ish) = 21litres (ish)

Times that by 1.38 a litre is about £30

Any luck got a 1.3 SPI or a complete 1.3 MPI. SPI had full service including cambelt n waterpump day I crashed!

Yeti, how has it been stood? ports covered? when will you be bringing it down this way? and what is actually included - I don't need the carb but if it still has the exhaust manifold attached that would be a bonus. water pump?

Yep, pump was done with the belt. It's got the manifolds on and a carb on top with a bag over it to keep nastiness out. Been stood on a tyre in the corner of the workshop with oil and spark plugs in, but I will admit, I haven't turned it over in a long time.

I'm busy this weekend, I'll see what my mate's doing next weekend though.
