6n2 suspension option - i dont want to lower it !

Featured Replies

my 6n2 suspension has seen better days and really needs replacing; shocks, springs, mounts, bump stops front an rear.

To buy fairly decent quality standard parts it comes in around £350, but i can buy a full AP kit for about £230. Thing is that it will drop the car 40/30 which I really dont want to do. It runs standard wheels and it is my girlfriends car so dont want it to ride poorly and look ridiculous.

Any suggestions? I dont mind a kit that will drop say 10mm but no more than that really. does anybody know what I should do? Not too keen on spending that much on standard suspension! ha ha

Cheers

Try fk automotives uk website? They sell sport suspension kits that lower a small amount. Not sure on price though but I'm guessing they're cheaper

You literally won't even notice 40mm drop on standard wheels

I've seen people lower their car 30-40mm and it makes no difference at all and I doubt it will make the ride hard

Really? Thats good news then. Don't suppose any one would have any pics would they?

You could always buy coilovers and set them at standard height.

I would say that would be the easiest and cheapest option?

Your mounts and bump stops etc are fairly cheap from the likes of Euro Car parts etc.

I'm a bit worried the ride might be too harsh on coilovers. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy the standard stuff. Cheers for your help guys
