Hello fellow Polo fans. I hail from Northallerton in North Yorkshire and our family have been enthusiastic Polo owners since our first 'Breadvan' Mk 2 Formel 'E' in 1982 through to the latest incarnation, a 2010 1.4 SEL. Although our first car 'bit the dust' many years ago, my mother-in-law has just asked me to sell her 1989 Mk 2 1.3 CL with a full service history and only 47,000 miles on the clock. The car is in good condition for the year with the upholstery looking as good as new. This is a genuine one owner car which has been serviced every year since new. The reason for mentioning this is that I really don't know where to pitch this classic car as regards an asking price. Does the fact that these models are now a much rarer sight on our roads boost their value or does the market simply view them as old fashioned and out of date and price them accordingly ? Any advice or recommendations would be gratefully received as I am keen that such a well loved car should go to a good home and my mother-in-law is not short-changed. Cheers, Gerard

Welcome along will be worth a little more with the mileage and service history but i wouldn't put to big a price on it or it won't shift.

If you want it to go to a fellow enthusiast get all the spec/details and pictures and get a for sale thread up, you do need a price if you do though we can't have "open to offers" or the likes
