Hi all.

Just bought a 2008 polo 1.2 match. Drivers side door speaker is not working but A pillar tweeter is working. Passenger side is all fine. I have replaced both door speakers thinking they had been blown. ( the passenger side was rattling and distorted. )

However after replacing, the passenger side now works fine but driver side still not working.

I have looked at the door wiring but nothing obvious.

Can anyone suggest where to look next. I'm running out of time as the car goes off to Uni with daughter in a few days...

check the connectors on the back of the headunit. sometimes the pin connectors can push out the back of the plastic ISO block. if they're all fine then you may have a break in a cable somewhere

I have checked the back of the head unit and all seems fine. Also as there is only one pair of wires to each side the fact that the tweeter is working implies the fault is somewhere in the wiring.

Does any one know where the split between the door speaker and the A pillar tweeter happens ?
