Been a while since i've been on here and a lot has changed it seems.....

A guy i work with, his dad has got a Mk2 polo 1.3 coupe S in black, he's probably had it 10 years or more. it's in average condition for age (F plate) and has some T&T and 109k miles

his dad no longer needs it as has a new car and i've been asked what it may be worth

so to summerise;

F reg polo coupe S 1.3

Black

average condition

109k miles

some T&T

any ideas on value would be greatly appreciated

Alrite mate, Depends who you ask tbh. I know that Guy has purchased a few of the years for I'd say less than £500? but I have seen other sell on ebay for £1500. Hard to say really!?

Did you ever dig out those mk1 golf 1.3/ 1.1 parts for putting a PY into a Mk1 Caddy we spoke about back in 09? iirc small block linkage / rod shift needed for the g40 box and the front gearbox mount?

Around the £5-700 maybe? With so little detail its difficult to give more than a vague guess really. Best bet would probably be to give it a good clean, stick some back to black on the plastics and bosh it on ebay, it might suprise you and do really well

Mk2 coupe's are funny, some seem to sell well while similar ones seem to struggle with no apparent reason

err, i had a mass clearout / throw away a couple of months ago not sure if they made the cut. i got another one coming up in the next month or so. if i find anything worth while i'll let you know.

It could even go for more depending on condition, like I say tho the mk2 market seems a strange place at times
