Hi, I've known about this site for ages as I've looked up tutorials and such on here before. I thought as I'm finally doing some work to my car I would finally sign up and start a progress thread!

I have a 2003 yellow 1.2E polo 9n, it wasn't in the best of conditions when I got it but could not complain for the price! So far I've done minor modifications such as debadging/dewipering etc. I've also fitted JOM's all the way down, it's still on the standard OEM 14" steels with less than an inch of arch gap, looking to upgrade to alloys very soon though! But the thing I am most excited about is the respray, I'm getting it resprayed in Audi Amalfi White which I don't think has ever been done before on a 9N!

Turns out, if I want Amalfi White it'll be £400 on top, just for the paint because it's 3 layers or something ><

So I'm just getting it a different white, not decided on what colour though, I would like one with a cream sorta tint, hence why I wanted Amalfi but It's booked in for next weekend!

As for the wheels, I was thinking about 15's RM's but then I think 15's may be too small, so I'm contemplating 16" RS Reps, I have hardly any arch gap with the 14" OEM Steels but I would like some of the tyre hiding, I don't know if that has a correct term though. In all honesty, I wouldn't mind the MK4 golf 15" OEM Wheels you can get, I've never seen them on a 9N and I think they would look pretty nice!

Just a little update, well quite a big one actually, just got my car back from the garage and woah, i'm in love!

Thanks for all the comments guys! As for the wheels I wanted Schmidts but then I came across some cheap bbs reps so I got them on, this is how she sits as of now :)

Still too much arch gap for my liking though ><

Another little update I guess!

The white on white looks okay I think but it not being the exact same colour really got to me, so I've sprayed them a gun metal grey! It came out a bit darker than expected but I like them!
