I can't wait to see it done either!

University is taking up a lot of my time at the moment plus the bus shat its engine at the beginning of the year so I'm converting it to a 110hp TDI engine with upside down Audi A4/VW Passat gearbox for decent power and speed, two months in and it's taken more spare time than I thought I had and it's still not running yet.

Still, it will be the perfect towing/weekend vehicle when it's back on the road.

Thanks for the comments.

I also took out the bulkhead divider as well, to make room for the throttle bodies at the back of the engine. Surprisingly, I was able to get it out with just a plumbers wrench (pliers) once I'd cut

Oh wow, never seen that. So polos are prone to crack from those places if you have little bit more power under hood/ abused in track.

Thats some serious damage on frontal beams, if we have to some day do some work on engine bay in our own polo, this will be on checklist/considering some stiffening.

Thanks Arno - those photos are really useful for reference. What power caused that?

Good news everyone - it's back on - after over a year of studying and other mechanical distractions.

Woohoo!

It was a normal littlebit lowered G40 with just a smaller pouly.

Nothing more.

They also left out the structural part under the catalyst converter.

Then the chassis will crack even faster.

Good question. It will be one day.

I've bought a T25 as a daily now which needs a few jobs doing to it, but this will of course be continuing!

After this thread lying dormant since 2016...

The time has come, I'm making plans to sell.

I will be writing an advert, but do feel free to PM me if you are interested.

All parts available

Ideally I want the car itself to go first, as there are a lot of parts that 'should' go with the car, or at least the car buyer should be given first refusal. Windows, trims etc.

Thanks

Hello Jim, you can't receive PMs at the moment, do you have any exhaust parts that would be suitable for a Coupe GT? Especially a manifold?

Cheers.

That’s odd, I’m not sure why the PM’s aren’t working.

No I’m afraid not, I have a 16v exhaust manifold though. VW motorsport s1600.
