Was wondering what sort of times everyone is getting out of their mk1/2/3 polos down the 1/4 and trying to figure out what a standardish 1.3 polo is capable of. Could you post up your times and engine size/spec.

Going to get the ball rolling with my time

17.1sec with webber 32/36dgv, piper cam, some light head work, a full exhaust system and a lot of the interior removed.

1.3 g40 130 RR proven 14.905 sec @ santapod

my old 85whp 1.3GT on bike carbs did a 17.1 I think.

I was going to set up a thread about this actually, and keep the OP as a list of people's times to browse through, but get info such as 60' times etc.

14.9 @ 89mph, RR'd at 115hp, 1.6 8v on bike carbs

I lost my printout from GTI fest, then I crashed the car and sold the engine.

i got a 15.8 at santa pod in my g40

17.6 1.3 with bike carbs and gt cam

16.2 1.4 16v with bike carbs

Both were running a bit too lean

The strange brothers are running even quicker times with Yoof running in the 12's.

It's a balance between 12's and CV joints it seems lol.

15.58@ 86.something mph 1.3 GT on bike carbs n other goodies carbs need setting up/ balancing. Justin- vwdrc member I want my GT to hit low 15s next year

gti fest was a let down, hopefully crack the high 14s with my 1.6 16v?

Should piss high 14's if you don't spend half of it wheel spinning mate :)
