Hay people I need a me carb for my 1.3 polo because my automatic choke has died the only problem it's a mrk 2 golf engine dose anyone know where I can get one from

Its the same engine as the Polo one, age related. The Pierburg isn't the best carb though, some have replaced theirs with a Weber version.

You could just fit a manual choke though, a popular conversion back in the day, can help to save fuel and also makes sense if your carb is good otherwise.

The throttle wheel on a golf is on the wrong side.

Do you know where I can get a weber carb from that's at a reasonable price ?

best bet is to keep an eye on ebay..although prices go up this time of year as they will in demand when cars wont start on frosty mornings

I got my weber dmtr on here.

Only just fitted it.

Its not perfect yet but so far so good.

To be fair my pierburg was ok except it had a little surging , but id had enough and went manual choke.
