Red Polo 6n2 SDi...

Featured Replies

Well me and dad have finally got our hands on the family 6n2...

It has a long history within the family and has been owned by us since new when me, dad and granddad picked it from the showroom back in 2001.... it has been through many family members since then due to my granddad passing away and was going to be sold last week by my auntie as she upgraded to a new mini.. dad and myself couldn't let that happen so we brought it back!

Heres some pictures:

The plan of attack with this one is too fix all the niggles it has so far and the protect it from the elements a bit more...

so far the only upgrades I've purchased is led side lights, osram night breaker plus bulbs and aero wipers for the front...

if anyone knows how to reset the service light that would be a great help.

Cheers Craig x

Got other things planned before then and already have a lowered fun car ;)

It was purchased from Mann Egerton, Swindon.. i think newer cars use the first two digits to determine where its located e.g 'WX' is Swindon i think as in cardiff all new cars are 'CV' hope that helps... i know what you mean though as on my 93 Fiat it ends in THY which is Bristol the same as my mates Uno turbo :unknw:

brought some oem service parts today to get it running how it should as I'm taking it up to the lake district in 2 weeks for a lakes tour with another car club 'www.clubcento.co.uk' << for people that wanted to know ;).. also brought a genuine vw thermostat and purple coolant as the housing is leaking!

heres my other car :good:

well thats this one serviced for another year :D

someone at work had a cheekychinky and ran it to the ground, and it still carried on living! it was only until a piston decided it wanted to make an appearance and dance around on the bonnet that it died

There good cars and can be set up to be a lot of fun :-) I own a few myself and am currently building a 1242 punto powered one for a fast road car it will be fully stripped out and sound deadening removed also has a fabric rag top roof ;) should make for a fun car when completed
