New Blood....

Featured Replies

Hi all,

No I am not a vampire but I thought it would be courteous to introduce myself with my first post.

I suspect I maybe older than the average member age here being in my early 40's but on the bright side (I think), I remember the days when the first Golf GTIs, the Renault 5GT TUrbo, XR3is, RS Turbos etc were a common sight on our roads !

I currently own a few cars but would really like a small, fun and spirited littel hatchback for running around town in.

I had narrowed it down to a few cars such as a Civic Type-R, Renault Clio 172/182 or Peugeot 106 Rallye and then I came across the Lupo GTI.

The little Lupo is on my short list and I am impressed at the following it has - looking forward to learning more......

Welcome to Clubpolo

Welcome!

You could try a Seat Arosa? I think Lupos were based on the Arosa and they're basically the same but with a different badge on the back. And Arosas have less cute faces, both pre- and post-facelift. They made a 1.4 16v too.

Or just get yourself a nice Polo coupe or breadvan! The 1.3 is dead nippy, plus they have excellent all-round visibility and fit through gaps in traffic where fat modern cars fear to tread!

Hope you find something cool anyway!

Thank you for the welcome.

Not keen on the looks of the Arosa (call me shallow ;) ) but the little Lupo GTI is cute

It certainly is! Go for it!
