Hi guys, does anyone know where i can get a blank plate for my lock on my drivers door on my 6n? its got the central locking conversion so id like to cover the lock over so you cant see it!

Can you buy blanking plates or do i have to make one?

Yes thats correct, are you 100% it will fit dude? would i just be able to swap the small plate or will it need to be whole handle? as my car has a custom coat of amethyst pearl!

The whole handle will need changing I think mate :( might ruin the look of your paint job though lol.

Just an idea:

Maybe cut/ buy a small stainless steel 'washer' that covers the original lock barrel perfectly, and stick it on with a very thin 3M sticky pad? that way, it will look as if the car has been de-locked and covered, but if you need to use the key in future then only YOU will know that you can pick the cover off to gain access to the lock :)

Alternatively you could cut it out of plastic and paint it to match :)

Certainly will save you money on re-painting a whole new handle.

Swap the whole door handle to colour matched one. I did it on my old 6n on the passenger side as some nice person tried to break into it

Cheers for the info guys! Already got the passengers side with no lock, I've got a rear door handle on route so will get that fitted up then get my mate to spray it, cheers

Cheers guys the rear door handle bolted straight onto my drivers side door and works perfect

I'm gonna order another to put on the l/h door rather than getting the r/h sprayed to match my car, gonna just leave them both black as my handles are very worn anyway so sorts 2 things at once
