Coming from a Honda

Featured Replies

Hello there, thought I'd say hello as I'm considering a Polo 9n3 for my next car as the insurance on my Civic EM1 is starting to take the piss (VTEC Yo!)

So anyway, I'm from Liverpool, engaged and 2 kids, so can't look for anything silly and having previously owning a Golf MK4 GTTDI150 I thought I'd go the low insurance route of getting something decent. Which sort of eliminates most things that are cheap to insure, and fancied getting a VAG again, so here I am, hope to stick around, get some advice, and maybe meet some decent people in the process

Welcome along mate, I've recently returned to VAG after a few years of having an MG (don't hold that against me lol) have now got a polo 6n 1litre as was just wasting money on the MG as only use my car to get to work and back

Thanks mate, I just need something small and reasonable to run with a decent scene about it, as much as I love Jap cars there's nothing exciting to me unless I look at the huge BHP super coupes from the 90s and I'd have to sell my house to insure them.

9n3's are a decent looking polo to go with, stick some gti bits on the exterior and your onto a winner. Have a look at some threads on here for some ideas

Yeah I've been having a mooch around on here and I do prefer subtle mods and maybe see what I can bring across from the Japanese stuff rather than the usual VAG stuff I see (stanced, billet alloys etc) but I'd probably go more for OEM GTI look myself then add stuff to suit my own preference.

Think I'll start by just getting a decent car and keeping an eye out on the classifieds in here for the time being though
