Hey guys I'm new to this forum just needed abit of help. I'm on the verge of ordering my new polo r line in white but I'm unsure on whether i should get the additional bio xenon headlights with it (£750) as it is going over my budget but i cant resist not getting them. Anyone can you buy them seperate, any advise thanks

My partner also wants these on her r line but for that price... Are they really worth it?? When you can buy a xenon kit for a lot lot cheaper, but then it is a mot advisory as you do not have head lamp washers...

But anyway.. If you've got 750£ to throw at some lights, why not? Might as well get a remap at same time

You are wrong, xenons with no headlight washers is a FAIL. No auto levelling system is a advise as we have no way to test them.

Also most "xenons" you buy these days are HID's and tend to have bad beam patterns blinding other road users and makes police more likely to notice you.

I personally would get the upgrade if it want them as I work at Peugeot and we do the same upgrade package on one of our models for £750 but if you were to buy the headlamps at a later date they are £380 a side (not fitted) then you need the headlamp washer system and auto levelling fitted so works out more then getting it fitted from factory

On 1 January 2012, new rules were added to the current MOT by the Department for Transport (DfT) to comply with European testing procedures.

Headlight requirements are updated to take account of the particular characteristics of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps.

HID headlights can cause dazzle if they are dirty or aimed too high so car manufacturers must fit headlamp cleaning and levelling systems. A car will fail if a mandatory headlamp cleaning or levelling system is missing, doesn't work or is obviously defective.

Vehicles fitted with aftermarket HID systems must also be fitted with properly working washer and levelling systems.
