chrispys mk4 1.4cl polo

Featured Replies

Model:RED 1.4cl

Engine: standard, late spec engine cover

Suspension: EVO coilovers

Brakes: standard

Wheels and Tyres: POLISHED BBS solitudes 8-) also 16v alloys (winter wheels)

Exterior Styling: debadged grille, debadged rear, clear indicator, golf highline rear boot badge, smoked side repeaters and smoked rear lights. Rub strips removed s2000 aerial, 16v Indianapolis alloys, with some BBS solitudes on there as yesterday :-D clubpolo number plates

Interior Styling: ibiza switch set up to illuminate red instead of green, (includes heater dials, elec window switches, rear demister switch and headlight unit). mk5 polo gear knob. audi tt pedals Heater surround sprayed silver as are small grill inserts on dash speaker grilles club polo sticker above rear view mirror and limited edition one on the rear window.

ICE and Security: sony CDX CA900 head unit, alpine spr 175a components, kenwood 7x10 speakers in auto acoustics stealth shelf. cat 1 laser line alarm.

Comments: i plan to have coilovers fitted in time for the polo show along with getting my 16v bumpers sprayed that i have in the garage. my wheels could do witha refurbish, and then tidy up all the bodywork.

i wouldn't mind a new sound system, and look at amping up my components and losing my 7x10s for a an amp and sub setup :unibrow:

honk!

how on earth you keep that thing so red i will never know!

Although its standard vw paintjob it really looks nice well the pics uve took of it really brings it up good....

keep it up dont let the red fade lol!!

damn you mine is an n reg polo mk4 aswell needless to say my paint job looks nothing like that mines faded and pasty white blotches are appearing. Unless of course i polish even that dissapears after not too long. anything you can reccommend in order to hold the colour for longer after a polish. waxing it asweel?

a serious polish is recommended to bring your paint back up to scratch, followed by a good car wax!

people rave about autoglym super resin polish and meguiars tech wax! only ever used auto glym products though!

i wash my car usually twice a week and wax it once and apply autoglym extra gloss protection after a wax!!

if you start to wash your car ergularly and wax it you will notice the wax will protect the paint and build up a protective barrier to resist fading!

turtle wax magic colour would be good for you car i reckon to help bring back up the redness and a fair bit of elbow grease!

the 16v ligfhts are slightly tinted over standard ones! these are much darker

these as far as i'm aware are hella magic colour ones. i bought em second hand of the forum quite a few yrs back!

not seen many other pairs like em. they may even be sprayed up (bodyshop job) but the finish is spot on if they are as i cant tell :unibrow:
