Hi. For sale is my 2001 VW Polo 1.4 SE. I am selling it because the insurance is due for renewal in November, as is the tax.

It has been a great reliable motor for me but is starting to show its age now hence the price for what is becoming a rarer 3dr model. It needs a bit of money spending on it to rectify a few bits but I simply haven't had the cash due to restoring a Beetle this year. It is factory spec and has had no modification. Spec is as follows.

  • Manual transmission
  • Power Steering
  • Front fog lights
  • Electric windows, sunroof and heated mirrors
  • CD/cassette player
  • Alloy wheels
  • 4 new tyres
  • New front catalytic converter
  • FSH *see notes
  • Spare wheel (new)
  • New wiper blades
  • Alarm

MOT until May 2014.

* I have not had the car serviced this year so is now overdue.

Points that need attention:

Driver's electric window sluggish/sticks

Central locking mechanism not working properly ? leak in vacuum line

Slow coolant leak

Needs new rear discs and pads

Only one key (no remote) previous owner lost it.

One front fog light cracked but still working.

Handbrake high

The body and paint are in good condition with only few minor scuffs and one small dent in offside rear quarter. I'm pretty confident that for a couple hundred quid this can all be sorted. I have been as honest as possible but please feel free to ask any questions. Please no time wasters/ tyre kickers.
