I'm removing the 1.9TDi (AHU) engine from this car for my T25 (with ecu & loom, and probably the air con unit), but pretty much everything else is available. I understand that a lot of the parts are the same for the polo 6k (and maybe some for the 6n?) so thought it was worth listing here.

I must admit to not being up to speed on parts prices in the polo/seat world, but am just looking to recover a few quid from this motor so open to reasonable offers on anything (as long as it's enough for me to bother removing and packing etc!). I've stuck prices in where I have an idea what I'd like (because of the rules).

The car features:

• tinted glass all round (probably a nightmare to get out?!)
• adjustable sliding roofbars
• manually adjusted mirrors
• vacuum central locking (pump runs, but system not currently working due to leak in drivers door lock pipe) - pump £10
• electric front windows -£dunno let me know which bits you'd need
• Power steering
• Vented front discs (discs + calipers with pads less than 500miles £30 + p&p or collection)
• The interior has no rips, but there is a drink stain (kids!) on the back seat and minimal damage to the piping by the drivers door (see photo). The drivers seat back rest adjuster knob is also broken, but still works (if you push whilst turning!) - front and rear seats £55 (collection only)
• One of the tyres (Firestone 185/60 R14) is almost brand new (<1500 miles) - £30 on steel rim (collection only)
• The rear section of the exhaust is pretty new as well - £25 (collection only)

Sorry gents I assumed I'd get email notifications if I received posts so just haven't come back on here since. I've sent a few bits out but most of it's still there. Need to pull my finger out, get engine out (need to borrow engine crane from somewhere) and get rid really as it's blocking access to my van!

Marco_polo have you managed to find out whether there are roof bar fixings under the polo roof trim - I got my trim off by pulling gently from the bonnet end, but you'll get a quicker answer if you can manage it from the bootlid. Hopefully you'll have seen from the pics it's not as shiny as those toofbars! I had them + elastic bands - orrible! With trim still on:

Yep, don't need the gearbox. I haven't sussed what code it is yet though (still in car at present). I don't fancy sorting postage either really

Could you check the code for me when you get a minute please? I travel to Bristol every now and then with work but don't know when that will next be.

mk1 - will check the code when I get the chance. If my (borrowing an engine crane) plan comes off then engine and box should be out a week on sunday I'll give you first reserve. By the way it's not fully evidenced but car is supposed to have only done 74k miles.

marco polo - didn't get your text no. Shame! U could drill out the spotwelds and weld them on but I recognise that is quite a big committment so assume you'll just be looking for a pair of standard bars!!

polocollector - dash is black and in good condition, although it does have a couple of screw holes from a phone cradle or something on the left of the console (by a passenger's right knee). I also sold one of the speaker grlles and the plastic grilles to the heater outlets are pretty much all knackered for some reason! I'm hoping to start removing it this weekend to make it easier to get the loom out so will be careful now that I know there's some interest. Will give you first reserve and let you know when it's out. Carpets are grey though I think (except maybe in boot where they're black???)

I'll look into couriers. Most will ship gearboxes as long as they've been drained.

Could also do with the shifter and cables if possible.

No ta. The ASD is a 02A type gearbox and I'm after the diesel 085 which are really hard to come by!

The diesel 085s are in some 6N Polos so I thought maybe Cordobas had them too. They're a weird amalgamation of big and small block gearboxes.

Most parts now out of the shell and boxed up - looking to get shell towed away soon. Open to any offer offers but off the top of my head (plus P&P)
