I have a problem with my front bumper on my 1989 MK2 Polo, I took a few photos to try and show the problem basically it sags quite a bit in the middle and is shifted more to one side, I've looked at the clips either side and cant really see any problems there is there anything you guys could recommend other than a new bumper as I'd rather not shed out for a new bumper!

There's a steel u section cross member behind the plastic bumper, I would remove the bumper and see if the bumper cover has become unclipped from the steel back. It all clips together, two 13mm nuts to get the bumper off.

This is the right hand side that has shifted, the thing is its still clipped in properly I don't know if you can see it here.

this is the left hand side, this side isn't perfect but it sits better than the right hand side.

Here is the sag in the middle, there is quite a gap here as you can see.

really need to whip it off and have a good look ...they're only held to the car with 2 small brackets so if its been hit they would easily bend , and/or its falling off the metal backing bar

I removed the bumper today and the bracket on the shifted side is very badly bent. It would be easier to just get a new bracket rather than a whole new bumper but the plastic clips that hold the bumper down are broken on the shifted side also so the plastic top is not held down. So ill post a new thread looking for a new MK2 Polo front bumper!
