6n2 60mm?

Featured Replies

So i want to lower my car, about 60mm. What setup I should get? Lowering springs and shortened shocks, or set of coilovers.

Don't have big budget, up to 300 euro.

I would get coilovers then you can lower/raise what ever you like

But how would they compare in ride quality?

How hard is to fit them? Can be done by yourself or do I need to get it to garage?

I would go coilies tbh, I found them a better ride plus of going show or something you can jus throw it lower ;) ha !!! N they are easy to fit in my ole 6n you could prob get it up on YouTube tbh

In exactly the same position. 6N2 Gti and looking at JOM Coilovers for about £180. Apparently these are the most comfortable ride for budget coilovers and a few of my friends have fitted them without probs. Anyone have any opinions on JOMs?

Yea i'm deciding now between JOM and FK AK, which are better?

From what I've heard, there isn't much in it between FKs and JOMs.

I've heard some say that the finish on the FK's corrodes quite quickly - so am more drawn towards the JOMs. But for that money (when most people I know on the dub scene spend upwards of £500 for coilovers), I'm not expecting amazing levels of build quality or comfort.

I had jom on my old 6n they where the greatest ride but it do able .... Personally I'd go jom over fk as they keep better ... But jus gotta keep them clean so they don't seize , but yeah jom weren't to bad and were easy as piss to fit :)
