Hi People

Just bought a H registed 1043cc Polo MK2F and thought id better get on a forum for when I'm stuck and need help! The car is in Steel Blue Metallic with G40 bbs wheels. Other wise is standard. 102k no tax or test. Pick it up monday with a fairly long to do list. All for 225 with a cherry bomb in the boot! Pick it up Monday/Tuesday so will get pictures up!

Got a few Q's to start with,

3rd and 4th gear are stiff going in and out. they move smoothly but its like there is some resistance. Not notchy going into gears.

There are 2 water leaks. One being the sunroof and the other being the boot. Can you get replacement sunroof seals easily and what may be leaking boot wise? and common issues?

Otherwise its just general mechanical fixes and a bit of welding for me :)

Dont know if this helps at all but I previously had a old car with a leaking sunroof..i applied vasaline round all the edges and got black silicone and went around the edgees too abd the boot i lined the rubber seals with vasaline! :) Worked a treat never leaked again! Even in heavy rain haha!! So can try this?? xx

I'll definatly bear that in mind. Tbh, if i cant fix it before the weather gets too bad i will just seal it up neatly. Cant imagine me ever getting the roof back tbh...

Yeah it has to be completly dry before you do it :) but no worries. Hope you get it sorted soon! :)
